Francestown Man Charged After Fatal Rollover Crash in Hillsboro

A 35-year-old man from Francestown is facing multiple charges, including negligent homicide and aggravated driving under the influence, following a fatal crash Friday afternoon in Hillsboro, authorities said.

Police allege that Henry Proctor was driving south on Route 149 when his Audi veered off the roadway, rolled over, and struck a 75-year-old woman standing at the end of her driveway. The victim, identified as Matilde Mejia, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Proctor sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Concord Hospital. Officials have not released details about the extent of his injuries.

According to Hillsboro police, the incident occurred at approximately 4:37 p.m. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
